Eugene LeClair, store manager, and Tin Le, head tire technician, perform a nitrogen tire inflation change-over on a customer’s car at the Tire Warehouse, 994 Grafton St. Letourneau got her nitrogen infusion when she bought new tires at the Tire Warehouse store on Grafton Street in Worcester, one of 50 locations the independent tire chain operates in Massachusetts. While a few chains such as Tire Warehouse and the locally owned Oil Doctors have nitrogen , larger tire concerns such as Town Fair Tire and Sears do not and automobile manufacturers have not yet started shipping cars pre-injected with nitrogen. Experts say that while nitrogen does seep out more slowly than regular air, adding regular air to nitrogen-filled tires compromises the benefits of the nitrogen. read more
