Â Then just change the way that you drive. The most ‘expensive’ part of your drive is accelerating fron a stop. Your engine literally drinks a lot of fuel to get you and your car up to speed. Accelerate slowly, cruise conservatively and anticipate your stops. This will give you a quick 10% mileage increase. When I travel I’m never the first away from a red light; just about every car is roaring away and leaving me in their rearview mirror.
