Jeep Limited good for grunt, bad for wallet – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (subscription)(Gas Mileage)

While many smaller utes are happy to provide high-revving 4-cylinder models (Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V come to mind), Jeep drops a V-6 under the hood. That’s super if you’re hauling a big trailer or pulling some major stumps, but if you’re trucking to the mall and music lessons with the kids, it’ll kick you in the wallet. Jeep also provides Hill Descent Control that helps you crawl the Liberty down a steep incline while keeping the vehicle under control. Likewise, there’s a Hill Start Assist system to help you keep the vehicle from wandering backward as you start up a steep hill. Outside, you’ll notice the Liberty has been squared, more like the old Cherokee and the new Commander, to reflect earlier Jeep styling. Inside, Liberty looks like a Jeep with its short, nearly non-existent dash that makes you feel you’re sitting closer to the ute’s front end than in most small utes. read more
