Oil and Gas News - TransCanada, Petro-Canada Shelve $979.5M Gros-Cacouna LNG Project
The proposed LNG terminal is one of several projects planned in Canada for receiving LNG transported by ships from around the world. Petro-Canada and TransCanada, the partners in the Gros-Cacouna terminal, also withdrew a proposal with Trans Quebec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. The gas line project would have linked the terminal near Riviere-du-Loup on the St. Petro-Canada was expecting to seal a gas supply contract with Russia’s oil monopoly Gazprom. One long-term alternative Petro-Canada is considering are its natural gas discoveries in Trinidad and Tobago. read more
